PAUSE Micromarkets - Visual Identity / Print
PLUSH was appointed by Pause MicroMarkets to develop a brand identity for their Micromarket business concept that was to be launched here in Perth, WA. Micromarkets have the latest trend with bigger corporates and industrial areas - replacing the old Lunch Bar on the corner. Building on the concept of the vending machine industry, though, it operates on a self-checkout platform, providing fresh foods and refreshments to workplaces and retail spaces.
The client challenged PLUSH to build a visual design that is vibrant and trendy, yet peaceful – inviting employees into a place of 'relaxation' as they interact within the space.
The logo with the leafy elements was developed to give the idea that it is 'drifting' - moving without being pushed or controlled. Almost calling upon the passerby to 'take a moment and pause. The visual design was developed merging rich colours (yellow and burnt orange) with softer colour tones (aqua and purple-blue) that calms the senses. Leafy patterns create the idea of 'stepping outside' as if walking through a forest or resting under a canopy of trees to further boost mental well-being. A refreshing boutique MicroMarket space - where employees can 'pause' & enjoy the fresh food offering at the market.
